In a little over 7.5 hours, I’ll be on a plane headed for Las Vegas (by way of Denver). It’s my first vacation in just over a year, and I’m so, so excited. I’ll be joining 10 fabulous ladies for a joint 30th birthday and bachelorette party for one of my best friends, Laine, and I know we’ll all have a fantastic time!
This trip also comes at an ideal time as, at the end of last week, I found myself at a career crossroads. The day job has ended, but I’m now pursuing my freelance writing full-time, a decision that I admit has had me buoyant yet focused throughout the week. Based on my growing amount of projects, clients and publications, this couldn’t have come at a better time, and I’m excited to carry the momentum into the end of March (also known as the month in which my book sees the light of day!!) and throughout the rest of the year.
I’ll be sure to share stories and pics (well, the G-rated ones, anyway) when I return this weekend, and after that, you’ll have lots of Kansas City goodness coming your way, including an in-depth look at KC Design Week and a new lust list. Until then, have a great rest of the week!
